OH, YES -- far, far better than Texas. We're actually about halfway between Chattanooga and Knoxville, on eight acres that started out to be in the middle of the countryside -- unfortunately, they're building all around us now :( . When we decided to leave D/FW, we looked at several locations around the country and quickly chose eastern Tennessee, mostly because of the friendly folks here and the decent land values. It's quiet, the mountain views are excellent, and we'd never consider going back (although I do miss the user group down there).
