Right now, if someone builds all files in their project, it shows most files as Renegade, though nothing really has been changed in the content. Very annoying and takes away the ability to know if something really has been modified. Have you found a way to work around that?

Don't do a RECOMPILE. That definately helps, but isn't really a great solution. It mainly is about being very consistent in making sure you check things out. If you forgot, and find your changes lost at a new "Get latest", you can check the _sgbak folder. your latest change will be in there.
