Set columns property Sparse=.F.

>I have a form with two grids. Both grids have a date field.
>In grid 1 I need a short date format and in grid 2 I need a long date format.
>Setting Date Format in text1 field of grid 2, only displays the long format when the field has focus, which is unacceptable.
>Setting the date format to long in any instance displays the date in long format in BOTH grids, which is also unacceptable.
>Question: How can I have the Long Date format ALL THE TIME in only one grid?
