>>>I'm about 6 episodes into season one and I'm liking it. Very dark, and at times, funny. Dexter is played well. Very believable.

>>Brilliant series. Funny, we've seen 2 series here. You've just reminded me that I miss it. Noticeable that both the bros from 6' Under now star in other big series. The Dexter guy in 6' looked so weedy and played a gay - now he looks and sounds big and butch.

>The other former HBO series that has lots of cast members working is "The Wire". About six of them are regulars in new series.

One of the most delightful is Amy Ryan who plays Holly, the HR/new love interest of Michael on The Office who was Beadie Russell, harbor cop/McNulty partner on The Wire. and a knockout as the baby's mother in Gone Baby Gone)

Also interesting to note that a highlight of Dexter - Julie Benz (Rita) - got beat out by SM Geller to play Buffy but was terrific as the vampire Darla. Magnetic.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
