Yeah, you have told me this before, I know your point of view, but it is a business decision and I think it is quite sensible. Of course, I respect your thoughts, as I always have. I just can't see why is so difficult to understand that a subscription is required to get support.

I'm not sure what you implied about the StrataBoys and stuff, since you know my relationship with them, and I respect them as professionals just as much as I respect you. By the way, I only have to thank you for introducing me to their product. They are great guys, and we've really built a wonderful relationship. Nothing of what I've said about the product is somehow deceiving. People have asked, I have answered. And the "StrataBoys" don't even get to know it most of the time. I trully believe in the product and the team behind it.

Anyway, tell Otto that he can come to Brazil and live with me if you get too boring around him... :)

See ya.

>>Yes, it does, as that is the channel for free support during your subscription.

>I could understand the StrataBoys not wanting to directly provide "free support" but just because a user doesn't renew their subscription doesn't make them some form of pariah to the rest of the StrataFrame community. If I was an active member of the StrataFrame community and someone came to the forum for help, I wouldn't refuse my assistance just because they hadn't paid their subscription to StrataFrame. However, in that circumstance, I couldn't even do that because "out of contract" users couldn't even access the StrataFrame forum. Given that the StrataFrame community is mostly based around the StrataFrame forum, where would such an "out of contract" user go for community/peer support? It's not like they could get support on this board because there just isn't any significant StrataFrame user presence here - they are all on the StrataFrame forum! :) Just strikes me as an odd approach? >>Yes, it does, as that is the channel for free support during your subscription. So, you just need to renew your subscription, after 1 year, to continue receiving upgrades and free support. You can still search the forum, though, as a guest, if I'm not mistaken.

What will happen is that you won't be able to download new releases, but I think this is pretty much standard everywhere. You can work with the version you bought without any time limit.
