Our Secretary of State is a Democrat. There were more than 10 machines to use when I voted. Even with that number, it was over an hour I had to stand in line before even entering the building. However, I voted at a different location than I typically vote at because there are different sites for early voting. At the location I typically vote at, there have always only been two in previous elections. I don't know how many there will be this election since I voted early. Of course, there are more sites on the 4th to vote at so the number of folks expected is smaller. It is a volunteer fire department.
