The help file describes this behavior and discusses the preferable solution is to use a timer. Check out the VB help and perform a search on modal. The topic is Aviod Hiding and Showing a Modal Form in the same event or something like that... Thanks for you input, but I am 99% sure a timer will do the trick. Why I need a timer is beyond my realm of comprehension. MS states this behavior is by design... In other words, a real screw up on their part that may be fixed in the next release in January...
