Perry, I didn't find it in my files, but I think you have it backwards. You do the formatting AFTER exporting to an XLS file. Open Excel with OLE Automation, open the file you exported, then do all the formatting. If you want to let your viewer see/change the file, add an oExcel.visible = .t. at the end of the formatting (where oExcel is the Excel Object). Otherwise, just add save/quit commands and your file is ready to e-mail, store, etc.
