I've done a lot of testing on this and as long as you blank out the collection at the end of the report it doesn't appear to leave any dangling references.

No, this will not work. it only looks at the properties in the oObjProperties object.

Something you may consider for non-wrapped text is adjusting the Left parameter from the Render method to adjust alignment.
