Agree. I have had the assasination fear myself, with Al Qaeda doing it in order to blame the conservatives and create havoc in US. What better way to accomplish their goal of destroying "the Great Satan". I hope Obama is well protected.

A parallel to the financial / economic situation. I have heard that during a car accident there are three crashes: First the car hits an object, then the body hits the car, and last the internal organs hit the body wall. The parallel is: first the financial world hits the wall, then the real economy takes a hit, and last political oportunists fish in turbulent waters. Think of Hitler. With this serious challenge it is time for everyone to act their rational best and work together to accomplish *problem solving* rather than finger pointing.

Focusing in problem solving and avoiding extremes will be the callenge of the new President of the US. He must resist the temptation to continually blame the opposite party for political gain and focus on bringing the country together. It would be best if Obama won but Democrats only controlled half the Congress, requiring negotiations to pass laws. More time to think. It worked with Clinton and a Republican Congress.
