>Thanks for your input. I did talk to my insurance agent today and she advised me against the policy. It jsut doesn't make sense to pay a a $1500 premium for a policy that only one client requires--especially a client who has paid me far less than that in the past 5 years. We may be coming close to a compromise however. It appears they may waive the GCL requirement because all of my support is done remotely. In fact, I'm rarely within 1000 miles of their location. It seems they were somehow concerned that I might hurt someone or damage property while on their premises??? Highly unlikey. I've been at their site twice in 10 years for meetings and the most spirited interaction was with the coffee vendor in the lobby!
$1500 for a CGL for a software developer is ridiculous. Are you absolutely positive that the quote is strictly for a CGL policy and not for a CGL including E&O?
