Editpad is a great editor, but it's no replacement for the VFP editor since it doesn't do syntax color highlighting for VFP.

There are a few editors that do. I know of TextPad (with a plug-in), PsPad and Multi-Edit - the latter is a fairly full featured editor and might be closest as what you can think of as a full featured editor that would qualify as a full replacement for VFP.

Remember that some editors are handy for down and dirty editing especially in an interactive environment (like Web Connection code behind editing). The reason the VFP editor is not adequate there is that it locks files and so files cannot be read while the file is open in the editor.
