I have an application that has been running on a Novell 3.12 network for the last two years. It has been running fine. My client decided (foolishly) to switch to NT Server 4.0, with workstations using Win 95. The application now takes a very long time to start up, since all dbf's are opened when the app starts. Different workstations seem to be taking different amounts of time. Once the app is running, anything that accesses the data (SQL statements, scan, etc) also takes a long time. I am not very familiar with NT. The tech that installed it told me that he installed it with the defaults. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can speed up the app? Thanks.
