How is your combobox set up? What is RowSource, RowSourceType, etc. ?

>Well, .Value is correct, but no matter what I do, it seems that I can't get DisplayValue to be non blank. --- unless I set the focus, which isn't very helpful, as the form comes up with that field blank initially and I don't what to focus on it.

>>Ok, set value to be value or DisplayValue to be DisplayValue.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
