OK, Vault is now working with the pre-release of V4.1.4. Jeremy of SourceGear answered my post on their forum with an offer to let me try it out. It works great. There is no reason to avoid using that version (4.1.4) when it is released. Until then, you can use the 4.1.3 server, but use it with the 4.1.0 (4.1) Client.

PS: they didn't fix it for VFP (I was shocked -- Not), but rather for VS2003 integration (if you don't have a foot in that world, you might not have realized that the VS2003 IDE was still COM-based).

>OK: it broke between 4.1.0 and 4.1.1. That release, 4.1.1, according to the release notes is when the Vault Client API was fully implemented. As I commented on the SourceGear Vault forum, that resembles a smoking gun. <s>
