I was working with Dbase III+ at 1990. I was getting "too many files are open" error. I learned I should put files=20 somewhere but where? Someone adviced me Foxbase and I tried it. I didn't get "too many files are open" error after use foxbase. So I beginned use Foxbase just for that... :)

At these years there weren't any license custom in Turkey. My first licensed Foxpro product was Foxpro Dos 2.6. I paid about 1.800 USD Foxpro 2.6+Foxpro 2.6 runtime+Foxpro library construction kit. I just bought const. kit for make my own md and rd commands. Because at some computers set comspec parameters were invalid (usually novell stations) and when I used !md command computer was crushing. After I bought these at 1.800 USD Microsoft Turkey beginned sell all Foxpro product in one box at 399$ included even connection kit for sql server and oracle (I didn't know what is that). It was made me mad... :(

I remembered I saw compuserve at my Foxpro's help. I couldn't realize what is compuserve.
