>developing a new app. having a terrible time with the 10h gpf that ms says is an driver problem. ut says a 10h is mostly associated with hp printers. have read everything on ut, but i still have the 10h gpf. of course, this is not acceptable. does 6.0 fix the problem? will move to 6,0 (from 5.a) if it fixes the 10h driver problem.
If it is indeed a driver problem, going to a new version of VFP is unlikely to solve the problem. We've had a good deal of trouble with HP drivers and a wide variety of software; for example, the HP 5si and HP 6 printers seem to have more trouble with their initial HP-released drivers than they do with the older HP IIIsi drivers on our network; we find that we give up very little (nothing from my POV at least) using the drivers for the older models, since they've been much more thoroughly wrung out and tested. You migth try using a driver from an older compatible model, especially one of those supplied as part of a Microsoft distribution (we normally use the drivers from the latest TechNet CD at the office.)
