Thanks for your reply.

The data to be displayed comes from multiple tables. Actually, it is to display teacher's class record.

So, my plan was:
- first get the students and dump it in first column
- go through another table to get the grading criteria (quizzes, homework, projects)
- get the grades for each of those in another table
- dump the grades into the associated cells
