>Clarify a bit, please? If you mean access Excel from VFP, that's one thing (best served by Automation) But to view VFP data *in* Excel, the easiest thing to do is just go to VFP, use the table, and COPY TO {filename} TYPE XLS to create an Excel worksheet from the data and go to Excel and load it.<

Thanks for the reply.

What I need is to view and write (access) data stored in a VFP DBC/Table from Excel.

We have an Excel app which needs data from vfp to:
1. Store to an Excel range.
2. Update the VFP tables with data from Excel
3. Generate pivot tables, and graphs from the pivot tables.

The Excel users do NOT have access to VFP. This is a dynamic data situation with the data in the VFP DB changing by the hour. So an export from VFP to Excel is NOT an option. Plus, each use needs only selected data

Right now I have a small prototype in which Excel retrives data from a MS Access DB using the Access object model (range data, DB updates) and ODBC for the pivot table access.

I want to replace the MS Access DB with VFP DB.

Is it possible to run a VFP parameterized view from Excel using ODBC?

Any examples accessing VFP data via ODBC would be very helpful.

Thanks,
jmu
