>The 2 memo fields are centered horizontally on the page (as you correctly pointed). As far as something to be fixed, I thought I tried initially to fix the top MEMO to the top of the band. But I will try it again to see if it makes a difference.

If I wanted the middle field to align with the bottom of an expanded memo field then I'd have the memo fixed, stretch with overflow, and the middle field set to float (so as teh memo gets deeper, the other field follows the memos bottom line.
