It was for intellisense. The VB team tried to do it "SELECT ... FROM", but Intellisense couldn't handle it, so they switched to the way the C# team was implementing it, which is what we have.

>I don't know if you have the answer, but I've been kind of wondering. Even VFP used pretty much standard sql syntax. Why was it changed around in Linq instead of just sticking with the syntax that people using VFP or SQL Server already knew. Was it strictly for the sake of the compiler?
