What Craig said. ;-)
Actually if you use the ORM interface it's easy to get comfortable with the Yoda syntax pretty quickly. There are a few gotchas that may cause bigger/dumber queries if you aren't careful, but some (most?) of the queries are really nice- especially convoluted ones that generated efficient queries in L2S far more easily than you'd expect trying to write them by hand from scratch.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
