>basically to cross from VFOX to .NET is not that hard, Vfox is way more easy to program and therefore
>simple tasks as to write down in Vfox Code will be very easy to re-code in .net, I assure you .Net is the thing

Keep in mind that our apps are not enterprise apps. They are designed and written for the small business, and as such, are fast and friendly. I'm sure we can do the same in .NET; the question is, how long will it take to develop an app in .NET compared to alternatives.
We spend so much time in the command window just testing little pieces of code and running sql's, I'm worried that this will be such a paradigm shift that we will be lost for a year or two and our development time will double or triple, and as a small company, we can't afford to take a year or two to learn .NET and then another year or two to convert our apps.
