Well not really. You mentioned an error message; does this happen during the install or later? Have you tried to look up that error # or google for it? I don't really know if that is related to VS or Windows or ?. Sorry

I would maybe try to un-install Mere Mortals and verify that VS is working correctly. You may also have to clean up after the uninstall and then try to re-install. Just grasping straws here. Can you get the later version 2.4 and install that instead? Or even better yet, get 3.5 since you are using VS2008.
