I define a popup with the bars for the shortcuts. I haven't used it in a while though.

I had a UDF that would take two arguments, the shortcut key desired and the operation to execute. The UDF worked with a popup named MyOpts. When it was called it would check for teh existance of MyOpts and create it if necessary. Then it would check for any bar that was using the shortcut key I sent it. It would would either create a new bar or use the existing one and set the ON SELECTION option.

The popup was never activated, so it is never seen. It is not the system menu so it is never automatically shown. However, the shortcut keys work fine.
