If you store photos in a memo or as a blob, you could lose them when/if your table gets corrupted. You also have the issue of file bloat as the table grows. I store mine, as Craig suggested. I also store information in the reserved portion of the header of the jpg, so I can know where that file should go, if I have to rebuild the table.
