I'm not 100% sure that this will work, but I will investigate in the next few hours and let you know.

However the second part of your response hits the nail on the head. - When the user enters a 2 digit century there is no way for the system to know what century the user implies/thinks/whishes to use. - And therefore the system must report an invalid date and stop the user from proceding.
