There are a couple of approaches you could take here.
1. I googled "The installed product does not match the installation source(s). " and came up with several hits that would give you some insight into troubleshooting why you get the message.
2. The Developers guide gives pretty good details about what occurs during the installation. You could just remove everything manually and then re-install the product again.
I still have not installed the hot fix because I need to verify some hot fixes to my installation were accounted for. As soon as I do, I will report if I had the same issue or not.
