I still remember when the then mayor of Toronto (June Rowlands) refused to allow the group to perform in the square in front of city hall because she thought they were guilty of sexual stereotyping. She was roundly mocked and laughed at until she finally apologised and admitted she hadn't known anything about the group when she banned them.
