I appreciate your reply. Living in urban area I can observe these things frequently.
>Very true. Unfortunately, most of what is reported as 'racism' is reported on white groups.

>When I was growing up, back in the dawn of time - when dinosaurs ruled the earth - otherwise known as the 60's and 70's, I had friends of all ethnicities. The first time I ever went to a Hispanic friend's house, she made sure to roll the car window down as we went through her neighborhood. As it was about 95 degrees out there, I asked her why she did that. Her reply was "So people can see me in the car and know that you're cool. That way they'll leave your car alone." I thought she was joking until I noticed that
everyone who was outside was closely watching the car go by. (shrug) To this day, I'm still not sure if she was joking or not - but I never had problems keeping my hubcaps on my car either.

>>>I think, people being people, there will always be racists at the lowest level.
>>>
>>>And, like the poor, I'm afraid the KKK will be with us always, especially since the KKK tends to prey on the poor and under-educated.
>>>
>>It should be also noted that racism comes in all colors, i.e. there are race baiters more diverse and influential than KKK.
