>>I'm wondering if a program such as this exists: To any other program, it looks like a web/video cam, but what it does - instead of using a camera - is grab the screen video and feed it back to whatever program is consuming the feed. So it would be like pointing a web cam at your screen, but it would be done internally via software, thereby accomplishing the same thing without a camera. Hope that explains it well enough. Has anyone seen a program like this?

http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.aspThanks, but I had looked at that and can't see that it does what I asked about. The point here is that the product has to appear like a web/video cam in the sense that:
1) Another app (Skype, whatever) can use it as a video feed
2) The program I am looking for would feed my screen video to the other program (Skype, etc.)
The would allow live streaming of screen video to the web via something like ustream.tv
If Camtasia can do something like that, they don't make it obvious. Capturing screen video and saving to AVI or whatever format is what Camtasia does, but that won't work for me.
