Thanks for your reply. Saving the changes is not an issue. The problem is getting the stuff I paste to stay in the field before I save the record.

The grid is a child table showing possible duplicate entries. The records are compared manually and any information from the one that is to be deleted is copied into the one being saved at the users discretion. While they can type the missing information in, some fields are long numbers and copy and paste would work better.

Now, we want to copy information from the first record into the second, you copy the information, move to the second record and try pasting. The infomation appears for a split second, then disappears and the cursor moves back up to the original field in the first record. You can move the cursor into the empty field and type the information in and it will stay put when you move out of that column.

This is not exactly what happens when copying from the second to the first record. In this case, when you paste the information in to the field, you can see it until you tab out of the field when it disappears UNLESS you press the space bar (if there is room).

I think it must have something to do with the relation. I think I'll turn it off and on and see what happens.
