Vlad Grynchyshyn did some research on that topic and wrote an article:
http://www.levelextreme.com/Report.aspx?Session=5859695A6934524B6E316F3D205846334768676B78656544416E673375385234767552416272492F4E34697772If using Views is not an option and if the structure of the result cursor changes, different result columns for example, you may need to rebuild the entire grid at runtime by re-setting all required property values, addobject'ing your member classes again, and so on.
