>OK, Dragan, I tried several different combinations of GO TOP, refresh, etc. but it still acts the same... no active scrollbar. Now here's where it gets weird. If I click on the page's tab, the scrollbox appears and the scrollbar is active. I have to physically click on it... executing the 'click' event for the page doesn't work. Clicking anywere else on the page doesn't work either.

That's really interesting... would page.setfocus() work? That's a bit of code which actually forces an event (most of the event code reacts to events; this one causes it), so the effect should be the same as when you click there.
