There seems to be a lot of discussion on the web about this topic but I have not been able to find an answer. If you are editing a user record with a Formview, and there is a textbox in the edit template with the textmode set to PASSWORD, the data IE: the password does not display which I assume is the correct behavior. However when executing a save, the previous value of the field becomes NULL and the data is lost. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the correct behavior? Is there a way to prevent the data loss but still hide the password but not require that it be reentered everytime the record is edited?
