In some earlier version of FoxPro (version 1? I am not quite sure) the report had to be "generated", similar to the menu nowadays. Nowadays, this is no longer the case with a report; the report file, similar to the form file, is read directly. There is no standard way to convert to PRG; you may have to code the PRG manually. However, how are you going to present the result? In an ASCII file, which you show with MODIFY FILE or an external editor? As HTML? Consider that you have to both preview and print the report.
One interesting option is Excel automation; my download #
9991 does just that. However, it does NOT convert existing reports; you have to re-write the reports if you use my class.
