I use Crystal Reports 9 RDC.

When running my install program (made with Installaware), a user gets this error during installation:
Module c:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin\crqe.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147221164
Her PC has XP Home. So I borrowed a notebook with XP Home and did a test install. Of course it installed without any problem.

So now I am at a loss as to why she got that error. Any ideas?

The next thing I tried was updating my Crystal Reports 9. I was on SP3, and applied service pack 7.

Unfortunately this introduced errors on my PC when running reports. It gives me these errors:
Exception error: Exception code c0000005. OLE object may be corrupt
OLE error code 0x80070005: Access is denied.
The error occurss on this line:
.crReport.ReadRecords()
I am using the XBASE interface - I copy the FoxPro files to type FOXPLUS and Crystal reports can read the files directly.

In Crystal Reports itself, it can read the data files without any problem. However, in runtime, it gives the error.

I either have one or two tables. The second table contains the report title and column headings. The second report contains the data to report. If I only use one table, it works. If there are two tables, it gives the C5 error.

I restored back to SP3 and it all works again.

So any suggestions on either how to fix the "failed to register" problem, or the problem with two tables, will be appreciated!

Thanks
Cyril
