Typically those individuals or countries like Switzerland we well compensated as is the rule of the market, however taking technology overseas to employ workers at .25 an hour to build/produce less quality a product to sell in mass for higher profit does nothing to compensate the originator of the intellectual property ( ie the US ). We have only ourselves to blame.

I also feel the disposable movement hurt industry. Products used to be built to last now you just use something a while and get a new one so you have to make them cheap and flimsy.
