Well, I ran the form again this morning and got (or possibly saw in the cold light of Monday morning) different results. Evidently something is firing the Keypress event twice with parameters (1,2) which Help tells me is a Ctrl-Home keypress. The only code in the Keypress event is:

IF nKeyCode = 32
THIS.DblClick()
ENDIF

otherwise that event method is empty back to the FoxPro base class.

I took Richard Liebespach's advice and tested the form on another computer and got exactly the same results, so I think I can rule out a bad keyboard or mouse.

It has got to be something in the code or the environment. No one seems to have had this experience before besides Richard and his was hardware related. What a bummer.
