>News from the nirvana: telecommuting is good as ever. I'm deciding, fourth time in a row, to keep the old Corolla simply because I don't want to spend $10K (the price of a decent 4year old small car around here) to spend $250 instead of $400 on gas every year. It still takes about fifteen minutes to commute, because I spend some time in the bathroom until I wake up sufficiently to dare go down the stairs. Then I have to make about 14 steps to the kitchen, to take the coffee, and then take it back to my chair which I passed along the way. Then I sit and have some rest from all the commotion.

Mine's a bit more than yours in that I go to get coffee for us in the morning and take our girl to school, but the rest of my day is either sitting in a recliner or at a comfortable coffee shop working. I hope this job lasts forever. I work better for this company than I have any other. They have expectations, I work hard to meet them and they do not worry about whether I am getting a sandwich or checking out CNN during the day. I miss having nearby coworkers some - wait. No I don't. :-D I've got some cats that visit me during the day and that works just fine. I do go out to lunch every couple weeks with some people from companies-past, but that's on my schedule.
