I LOVE the HeadFirst C# book. Really. It is an enjoyable book which covers quite a bit. The presentation style is crazy but seems to work well for memory retention. I would HIGHLY recommend it for a first book and then move on to the wrox books or apress... Someone who is driven can go through the book in a weekend or a week.
