Sorry to take so long to respond, I've been on vacation!
Ugh, monday after vacation, network problems, yada, yada, yada....
Umm what was the question?
Oh yeah. What I did was I set up the data source in Word template (under tools, mail merge) as "C:\AMM\VFPDATA.DBF" (my default local directory). I then load an empty foxpro table VFPDATA.DBF in VFP with the data to be merged with the template. Then I just kick off the Word merge. I have multiple templates that all have this temp table as the data source.
So the order would be.
Copy data to VFP data table (saved as a 2.6 table)
Merge Word Template 1
Copy data to VFP data table
Merge Word Template 2
etc.
Then once all my forms are done I merge them into one form.
So you see I don't really link the foxpro table to VFP. I just set a temp table as the data source in the Word Template and then fill it with the data on the VFP side.
HTH!

>Kevin, did you have to pick something special in VFP setup in order to get the direct link to a Foxpro 2.6 table without using ODBC?
