>There was a biography of Peanuts cartoonist Charles Schulz that came out last year. Surprisingly to me, he was a sourpuss of a human being. According to the bio he was really nasty to his family, among other things.I have a full-sized Snoopy cartoon that was given to my grandmother by Charles Schultz ... or, maybe given to a friend of my grandmother's who then gave it to my grandmother ... I'm not entirely sure.
What I mean by "full-sized" is that it's the original cartoon, as Schultz drew it, to then be sent to his publishers or whatever. It's quite interesting, as you can see how he worked ... it was originally "stubbed in" with a pencil and then he went back and inked over the pencil lines. I think it's circa 1968.
