>I have worked for a wire manufacturer for over 4 years; this company has depended on construction in order to keep afloat. They are no longer keeping afloat with drastic drops in their sales, down to almost no sales; it's really pitiful right now. Many hourly people were already laid off by the time they got to the salaried, in which 7 of us were let go last Friday. Any manufacturing is going to lose sales this year, next year and maybe even into 2010. I hate to sound so bleak about our future, but I've been sitting on the sidelines while the braniacs in our government seem to be sinking the ship.

>>It's a cabinent manufacturer. I know they recently had some layoffs, but I believe those were all factory labor. I think their market isn't going to dry up anytime soon.

In fact, I just heard on the news yesterday, about UK slipping into recession, that one of the hardest hit markets is furniture.

- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
