I am a seasoned veteran of cruise ships, in that I used to be in the Merchant Marine as a steward, working mainly as a waiter, and have experienced the gluttony first hand. For some reason, on a ship you can "go through the menu" at no extra cost.

One time I had an Afrikaner, complete with short-trousered bush suit and long woolen socks, on my table for lunch and the order went something like this:

A: "I'll have the soup, then the fish. Then, what is this fillet minuit (he pronounced it "fill ett min oo itt")"?
Me: "It's a minute steak" (Now this was the entree - bearing in mind that an English entree is a small dish as an "entrance" to the main course, not the main course as in the USA)
A: "OK, I'll have a fillet minuit with roast potatoes, peas and carrots. Then for the main course I'll have the roast chicken, with roast potatoes, peas and carrots. Then for dessert I'll have the lemon meringue pie, semolina and ice cream".
Me: "Separate?" (I knew the answer as being typical of yarpies)
A: "No, all together. Then to finish I'll have cheese and biscuits. ... I'm feeling VERY HUNGRY today!" (rubbing his rotund belly).
