Hi Mark ---

Yes. You have to with VALUES or FROM ARRAY or FROM MEMVAR. But I haven't found this to be a problem....very rarely do I want to totally default ot blank and even if I do I can just add a clause like INSERT INTO table name VALUES SPACE(30) or something like that.
