>>Now the Cleveland Browns fans want to hire Bill Cowher as coach !! (and I'm one of them)
>
>That's an interesting thought. Has he shown interest? He was pretty young when he retired (last year, right?) and sometimes they get the itch to come back. Usually only for an opportunity with a lot of upside, though, like Phil Jackson taking over the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe.

Cowher started both his playing and coaching career in Cleveland. He is being coy,and there is some talk that he promised he wouldn't coach the Browns as long as the Rooney family owned the Steelers (they have sold part interest) My guess is they will dump something like 15 million in his lap and he will come.

Of course the buy out for Crennel and Chudzinski (O co-ord) will be 20 million in itself. The owner, Randy Lerner, can afford it. He inherited the team and has more interest in his soccer team - Aston Villa something. Hard to believe anyone who loves football would buy a soccer team, so hard to picture what is actually going to happen. But fans are rioting bigtime.

Pretty good guess that Crennel, Chud and probably GM Savage are toast,

Edwards, Anderson and Winslow will be shopped out for whatever we can get for them.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
