This does not use the SocketTool object, but it has worked for me. I have on my web site (http:www.GLRsoftware.com) at routine called Query. This routine would allow you to query the FTP site for the file and retrieve it using simple SQL statements. Look at the data drive called FTP.prg for examples on how this is done.
