>How did it go with your prospective future daughter in law?
We're enjoying her company very much. She's a delightful young woman. We'll see whether it turns out to be long-term or not, but they're clearly very happy right now.
After 20 for Thanksgiving, last night, we had another family here for Shabbat. These are people we've been friends with for more than 25 years. Their daughters were both in, and both had their SO's here, along with our boys and Solomon's girlfriend. It was a terrific evening--lots of laughter and a wide range of topics.
One girl's boyfriend is trained in physics and has a business doing science shows for schools and so forth. When I asked whether anyone had a use for the plastic lid from something I'd brought out of the freezer, he took a look and said he thought it would shrink in the toaster over. So he cut off a piece where I'd labeled it, put it in the toaster over and sure enough, shrinky-dinks.
