>I'm reminded of a principle of Zoology: "the animal is always right." Perhaps we need a similar principle for IT: "the market is always right," even if it doesn't match the comfortable world order that people like to believe in. VFP people have grappled with this for years; I wonder how others will cope.
What crossed my mind ;
Imagine now some magic warp of time/space which somehow swap those market shares, so now all of a sudden
Apple MacOS keeps 63.6 of the market, while Ubunty is close second...
So now NET all of a sudden have to compete on his own, and win that market just by sheer technological
merit/supremacy against well funded/marketed FoxPro, Java, Phyton etc. (Big M$-Momma marketing cake is now an xmass occasion)
Do you have any doubt that tecnological supremacy would not prevail on it's own ?!? {vbg}
